Detailed description

Tater Hill Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Chester, Vermont

The course opened in 1964 with 9-holes designed by Don Warner. Mike Higuera designed the back nine, which was added in 1995.

The course is situated in the hills of Vermont. The front nine is considerably longer than the back nine. The course is well maintained, and the narrow fairways are tree lined. The course was built at an elevation of 1,800 feet above sea level. This eighteen hole course was built on the site of one of New England's largest potato "Tater" farms, dating back to the eighteenth century. The farmhouse was built in 1790 and is now part of the Tater Hill clubhouse.

Birch-lined fairways, stone walls, scenic mountain vistas, and breathtaking flower gardens serve as the dramatic backdrop for the par 71, 18-hole course layout.

Measuring 6,380 yards in length, Tater Hill is situated in a pastoral setting with rolling hills and undulating fairways. Moderate elevation changes provide plenty of challenge for low handicaps, yet the course is playable for all ability levels. Nature is a star attraction at Tater Hill with wetland areas, flower gardens, and tree-lined fairways.
